We are thrilled to remind you that our CBC Annual Meeting and Worship Conference is just a month away! The conference will occur from July 18th to 20th, 2024, at Chiques Church, located at 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, PA 17545.
Check-in/registration opens at 1:00 PM on July 18th, with our insightful sessions starting at 2:00 PM. Evening worship will commence at 6:30 PM. Meals will be provided for Thursday evening, Friday lunch, and Friday dinner.
We are pleased to inform you that a Spanish translator will be on location, and there will be a special live stream of the event that includes Spanish translation, ensuring everyone can fully participate and enjoy the conference. Accessing the live stream will be available on the CBC website.
Please note that online registration will close on July 5th, 2024, and after this date, registration will only be available at the door, subject to availability.
As we gather for worship and fellowship, you are kindly reminded to bring something soft to sit on that won’t harm the wooden pews at the church. CBC stadium cushions will also be available for purchase in the exhibit area.
Prepare to be inspired by our speakers as they delve into Philippians 3:13-14, guiding us to press forward towards God’s high calling in Christ Jesus. Beyond personal and church growth, this conference is a crucial opportunity for you to have your voice heard in the Covenant Brethren Church. Key discussions will include the 2025 budget, the election of National Executive Board members, and insights into our new regions in development in Puerto Rico and Pennsylvania.
We are excited to share that the CBC Youth Conference will also be taking place during this time. Last year, with the donations of supplies brought by the attendees, the youth packed just over 100 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. This year, they are collecting items for homeless shelter care packages as a blessing to the local community. Needed items include men’s and women’s socks, small packs of men’s and women’s underwear, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, shaving cream, Band-Aids, feminine hygiene supplies, shampoo, hard candy, deodorant, baby wipes, a key chain can opener, chapstick, Slim Jims, belts, tissues, and hand sanitizer. The youth will pack these items into large Ziploc bags and present them to the Water Street Mission in Lancaster. They will also include a card in each bag that lets recipients know that these items are provided in Jesus’ Name by the Covenant Brethren Church, along with a brief gospel presentation. Please remember to bring the items you collected to the Annual Meeting and Worship Conference.
