The Faith Covenant Brethren Church had an answer to prayer when this building became available.  This was a new church plant in Salix, PA that was looking for a building.  They had been renting some space in a local Comfort Inn prior to God providing this building in a way only God can do.  The building had been closed as a church since COVID-19 and was not in the best condition. The owner learned that Faith was looking for a building and decided to give the building to the Faith CBC congregation. They had to do a good bit of work on the building as the squirrels and chipmunks had tried to move in, but that has been dealt with and they are in the process of bringing it up to the condition it should be in; putting in new heat systems and carpet and much more.

On December 29th, Grover Duling and Leon Alt traveled to Salix to present this new congregation with their Covenant Agreement. Grover brought the message that Sunday, and he was impressed with the people’s enthusiasm and attentiveness. There was a wonderful spirit in the service, and the people were excited about what God was doing in their midst.

Pastor Joe Brown and board chair Marc Franchic, signed the covenant agreement on behalf of the church, officially bringing them into the CBC family.

The church is focusing on building its program around discipleship and is committed to reaching out to this community with the message and love of God.

Leon then led in a prayer for consecration and dedication for the church asking for God’s protection and leading as this new body moves forward in the call God has placed upon them.  There is much anticipation about what God has planned for this new church but after giving them a building there is little doubt that He has a plan that he wants to see acted out in Salix, PA.  It will be an adventure for them and Region 3, the region they are a part of, to see what God will do in this place.  Pray for this new congregation. Perhaps God is just showing the way for future, new CBC congregations.
