Heavenly Father we are thankful for Your goodness, love, favor, grace, mercy, promises, faithfulness, glory, hope, and so much more! O Lord may Your presence accompany us in every moment of every day. When they had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this Child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.” Luke 2:17 NIV The Sunday before Christmas (12/22), Christmas Eve (12/24), and Christmas Day (12/25). Many of our congregations have special services & programs this week. And many people who are not close to the Lord may pass through our doors. This season is often a very “open door” time for the unchurched. Sometimes we can look down on these so-called “Easter & Christmas” attendees. No! Let us pray with thanksgiving for this opportunity to share Jesus! Pray that you may be a “shepherd-like” witness to proclaim Jesus to every dear one that the Lord brings you in contact with! Share the amazement! Sing: “Flocks were sleeping; shepherds keeping vigil till the morning new. Saw the glory, heard the story, tidings of a Gospel true. Thus rejoicing, free from sorrow, praises voicing, greet the morrow: Christ the Babe was born for you!
