Weekly Prayer Point – 11/27/23

November 27th, 2023|Weekly Prayer Point|

“Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations (Psalm 100). “Father, where do we begin in our efforts, though sincere they be, to worship, praise, and acknowledge You as the One, the True, the Only God? Our hearts are not able to contain the joy that overwhelms us being allowed, privileged entrance into Your “Holy Place” through Christ our Lord. Our hand cannot write fast enough the blessings that You have given just this day. Our minds cannot begin to recall and number the untold blessings that have flowed from Your hands. Heavenly Father you are the source of our worship and praise! Our souls are elevated and stirred by Your mercy, grace, love, and favor. We shout [...]

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” - (I Chronicles 16:34). Here we are the week of Thanksgiving 2023! As families gather all across our nation, may we give thanks to the One that makes the difference in every day! Let us proclaim the salvation of the Lord and His goodness to us ……. “Heavenly Father, thank You for families that gather to love and embrace one another with joy and thanksgiving. Thank You for those moments we pause at a sink of dirty dishes and thank You for memories just made. Praise Your holy name for the grace, favor, and mercy our family has enjoyed through the years. Counting our blessing for the gift of life and health. As we look at the world around us and the great need and cry for help, give our family the voice and place to tell the story of Jesus Christ our Lord! Thank You for the light that burns in our hearts; for food, shelter, peace, joy, life, and so much more. THANK YOU LORD! In Jesus name. Amen!” “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also [...]

November 13th, 2023|Weekly Prayer Point|

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Colossians 3:17) Lord it has been a busy day. Much has been done; much yet to be done. Thank You for the strength, courage, and order that you have brought into our day. A day too often filled with weakness, fear, and difficulty in deciding which way to go. I thank you for those divine appointments where the name of Jesus could be shared with family, friends, and the stranger in the checkout line at the grocery store. Thank You for those moments of decision where the Holy Spirit gave the courage to stand for what is acceptable and right in Your sight. Thank You Lord, for the contentment, peace, and joy in knowing that You are with us every moment of every day; in those early morning hours as the sun greets us and, takes its place in the heavens; to the fleeing moments of the sun disappearing behind the mountains. The light disappears; replaced by the moon and stars that shout “Great is the Lord!” Heavenly Father, as our day has been [...]

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving’ let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6). Heavenly Father, as we come to you this day remind us of Your omnipotence, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your care. In this world that too often seems disjointed, searching and confused; may we be reminded that you are a God of order and purpose! That with the passing of every moment You are accomplishing Your holy and righteous will. We humbly ask that in this world of much conflict that the “peace of Christ” will not only comfort but also be a precious possession of our hearts. “Those who wait on The Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” - Galatians 6:9 Heavenly Father and Faithful God, thank You for Your ever-flowing power source that fills us and sustains us. Refresh us daily so we will “not become weary in doing good.” Bless us with Your grace and peace while we wait on You for “things” we are praying for and believing You for. Let us “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness;” so all these “things may be added unto us.” Matthew 6:33 Nourish us with You Word and Holy Spirit as we wait on You for our marching orders, give us courage to be warriors for Your kingdom and strength to soar like eagles as we carry out Your will. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 Heavenly Father, thank You for providing a way for us to be reconciled with You and rescued from eternal separation from You. Thank you for loving us so much that You sent Your Son to forgive us of our sins and prepared the “way for us that leads to life.” (Matthew 7:14) Help us to point others to You in everything we do, and send Your spirit to open eyes of those who do not know You so they can realize their great need for You and accept You as their Savior. We pray for repentance and the salvation of unbelievers, and for a renewed spirit of true righteousness and holiness in believers that will lead us into a deeper love for and commitment to You. “Moses answered the people, ‘Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.’ The Lord said to Moses. “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward.” (Exodus 14:13-15 – NIV84) Heavenly Father, thank You for being our strong tower who protects and defends us from the hands of our enemies. Thank You for being our mighty deliverer who parts the “red seas” in our lives so we can “go forward” with the plans You have for us according to Your perfect will and purpose. Help us to get away from all the noise and mindless chatter in our lives and to “be still and know” that You alone are the one and only true God. (Psalm 46:10) Open our ears to hear Your voice and fill our hearts with the determination to stand firm in that which You have called us to. Heal our hurts as we “shake the dust off of our feet” (Matthew 10:14) and give us the strength and [...]

2 Corinthians 7:9-10 Yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. Father, just as You intended, let repentance fall on Covenant Brethren Church and let that repentance lead to our salvation and salvation to all who see!
