Weekly Prayer Point

Pray for all CBC Churches and members to experience the joy and peace of Jesus this Christmas. Pray that we might also share that joy and peace with others and invite our family, friends, coworkers and neighbors to know and receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Pray for those who are battling addiction to drugs or alcohol. Pray for them to receive the victory of deliverance and freedom through Jesus Christ. Pray for our CBC Churches and members to reach out with love and healing in Jesus’ Name. Pray for those struggling with mental health issues and especially thoughts of suicide. Pray for our CBC Churches and members to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit to minister, love, and encourage those who may be depressed and hopeless. As families gather all across our nation, may we give thanks to the One that makes the difference in every day! “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him” (Colossians 3:17) Lord it has been a busy day. Much has been done; much yet to be done. Thank You for the strength, courage, and order that you have brought into our day. A day too often filled with weakness, fear, and difficulty in deciding which way to go. I thank you for those divine appointments where the name of Jesus could be shared with family, friends, and the stranger in the checkout line at the grocery store. Thank You for those moments of decision where the Holy Spirit gave the courage to stand for what is acceptable and right in Your sight. Thank You Lord, for the contentment, peace, and joy in knowing that You are with us every moment of every day; in those early morning hours as the sun greets us and, takes its place in the heavens; to the fleeing moments of the sun disappearing behind the mountains. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving’ let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6). Heavenly Father, as we come to you this day remind us of Your omnipotence, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your care. In this world that too often seems disjointed, searching and confused; may we be reminded that you are a God of order and purpose! That with the passing of every moment You are accomplishing Your holy and righteous will. We humbly ask that in this world of much conflict that the “peace of Christ” will not only comfort but also be a precious possession of our hearts. Heavenly Father, you are the one that meets every need of life and we thank You for Your goodness and favor in Jesus name. Amen. Refresh us daily so we will “not become weary in doing good.” Bless us with Your grace and peace while we wait on You for “things” we are praying for and believing You for. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 Heavenly Father, thank You for providing a way for us to be reconciled with You and rescued from eternal separation from You. Thank you for loving us so much that You sent Your Son to forgive us of our sins and prepared the “way for us that leads to life.” (Matthew 7:14) Help us to point others to You in everything we do, and send Your spirit to open eyes of those who do not know You so they can realize their great need for You and accept You as their Savior. We pray for repentance and the salvation of unbelievers, and for a renewed spirit of true righteousness and holiness in believers that will lead us into a deeper love for and commitment to You. “I am the vine; you are the branches.  If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 Heavenly Father, we thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to the world, not only to be our Savior but “The Vine” that supplies everything we need to accomplish Your perfect plan and purpose.  We pray for You to help us be faithful in staying connected to and nourished by “The Vine” so we can bear much fruit for Your kingdom.   Help us to sow the seeds that produce the everlasting fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.
