Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ:

This new online giving opportunity is coming to you from the Stewardship Committee of the Covenant Brethren Church (CBC). Our committee is tasked with overseeing and monitoring all the financial activities of our church. It is our desire to keep you well informed and be completely transparent about all our financial matters. We believe that a Christian organization like CBC should operate with unquestioned financial integrity.

When CBC began, the Executive Board made two basic financial decisions. One was to suggest (not demand) that CBC congregations and CBC members not part of a CBC congregation consider sending in an offering at the beginning of each quarter throughout the year. The second was to tithe a tenth of all such monies toward supporting mission work. This money is set aside each month and is available to be dispersed.

In addition to these two primary functions, a variety of other “special needs projects” that have been approved by the Executive Board, can be supported by designated gifts. Any such designations will be honored. An important area of needed support in the CBC budget is the “General Fund”. We have recently hired two more much needed part time employees, a part time financial secretary and a part time Information Technology person. Also, we are sending members of our Board to countries across the World to share the Gospel and bring churches into our denomination. Continued support to the General Fund is much needed. This online giving option may be helpful to you, as a method to support the work of the Covenant Brethren Church. We greatly appreciate your prayers and support.
