So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (NIV).
Hearing the news about our world each day can often be disheartening. So much suffering. So much trouble. So much division. So many are fighting against our Lord and His Perfect Word! But do not be discouraged. Do not dismay. As we move towards the celebration of Jesus’ death and resurrection, let us be reminded of His ultimate victory! In his beautiful old hymn, Maltbie Babcock wrote, “This Is My Father’s World,” “This is my Father’s world. O let me ne’er forget, that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet. This is my Father’s world: the battle is not done: Jesus who died shall be satisfied, and earth and heaven be one.” Amen! Celebrate Jesus’ victory! Today and always! Pray for those who suffer. Pray for assurance and certainty in Christ!
