The Shippensburg Covenant Brethren Church is seeking a full-time Pastor. We are searching for a person of strong faith with the desire to teach the true Word of God.
We would like our pastor to be able to deliver effective Bible-based sermons that are relatable to everyone, including our children & youth. This person should also be evangelistic; one who reaches out to the unsaved and unchurched.
We seek someone who is compassionate, personable and approachable; one who can relate to all ages, and has a sense of humor. Our pastor seek church growth, should be open to interdenominational networking & missions, and is well rounded in most areas.
Our pastor should be one who can work well with the church leadership as well as that of our region & denominational leadership. This person should use spiritual wisdom to guide decisions, have the ability to generate new ideas and be receptive to other’s creative ideas that are supported by sound Biblical principles. Encouragement of the spiritual gifts of others is important.
