Brothers and Sisters of the Covenant Brethren Church,
The Mission and Outreach Committee of the Covenant Brethren Church recently made a connection with a potential long-term missions partner who shows great promise. She is Kristen Ranker, a member of the Mount Joy CBC congregation in Mount Pleasant, PA. Kristen has a calling to the mission field in India. To prepare for that, she left her home and business in order to enter an excellent training program at Oxford, England. She is well on her way to completing this program. However, she finds herself with an unexpected shortfall in funds and may be unable to continue. If she cannot pay tuition for the upcoming term by the middle of March, she will have to return home. Her financial need is urgent.
The Mission and Outreach Committee, with the full support of the CBC Executive Board, decided to support a percentage of her tuition costs. The remaining immediate need is $10,000. The amount of support available from our Mission & Outreach funds is limited. Therefore, we appeal to you, our churches and individual members, for a special offering to help Kristen finish her preparations for the mission field. The Covenant Brethren Church is committed to evangelism and outreach. This is a great opportunity for action that has a long term potential to bring the Gospel to the world and to grow the Body of Jesus Christ.
