The Word became flesh and lived for a while among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14. (NIV) Jesus left all the glory of Heaven to live among us. Word became Flesh! Incarnation! Can you imagine all He gave up being with us as our Savior? Do you think He missed the Father and Glory? The beauty and special nature of Christmas can cause pain to be difficult for those who are separated from loved ones at Christmas. Missionaries? Service men & women? Those separated by distance. Those who are ill? Are those living through the first Christmas since the loss of a loved one? Those with a broken relationship in their family? Pray for the separated in the grief of the separation. Pray for God’s Presence to be very real to them! Is there someone you could reach out to be a blessing?” SING: “Christ by highest heaven adored, Christ the everlasting Lord! December 2nd, 2024|Weekly Prayer Point|

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen. Come , Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.” Revelation 22:20-21 NIV The last verse of our Bible. Early believers would often part with the word, “Maranatha!” which is an Aramaic word that means, “Come, O Lord.” As we begin the Season of Advent, which is a Latin word meaning “coming,” We remember the long wait of the Jews for their Messiah. Who or what are you “waiting” for this Christmas? Revival for our nation? God’s healing touch? Reconciliation? A friend or relative you haven’t seen in a while. Like a child waiting for Christmas morning, we wait eagerly. The Lord IS coming! Maranatha! Pray for those who wait! Sing: “O come, O come, Emmanuel, And ransom captive Israel, That mourns in lonely exile here, Until the Son of God appears. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel, shall come to thee O Israel!” Please pray for the following congregations and pastors: Moxham congregation in Johnstown, PA and pastor Daniel Rhodes Musanze congregation in Rwanda, Africa and pastor Dusabimana Jean Samson CBC Prayer Committee
