“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16 Heavenly Father and Mighty Savior, we praise You for Your awesome power to save. We are grateful for the depth of Your love for us that You would choose to sacrifice Your only Son to bring the precious and costly gift of eternal life for anyone who would receive it. Open our hearts to the leading of the Holy Spirit to be a light to others, pointing the way to the only one who has the mighty power to save. Open our eyes to see and respond to every opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. The fields are ripe, and we ask you to open the hearts of unbelievers to understand and accept Jesus Christ as their Mighty Savior. Please pray for the following congregations and pastors: Trinity Congregation in Blountville, TN and Pastor Harold Royal Upendo Congregation in Tanzania Africa and Pastor Suzana Magudi Lunyalula CBC Prayer Committee

All because of His death & resurrection! We are not consumed by the Lord’s just wrath. Forgiveness! Grace! Mercy! New blessings every day! “Why do you look for the living among the dead?” Luke 24:5 (NIV). We begin the week with Easter! Resurrection! Do you know that early Brethren did not celebrate Easter? Or Lent, or Christmas, or Advent? They believed that every time we gather as believers, we should celebrate the Resurrection! They weren’t wrong. But today, our Resurrection Celebrations are a big day in the life of our congregations. Enough beautiful Easter flowers to give you an allergic reaction! Sing! Praise! Hallelujah! And welcome new folks and occasional worshippers with love and friendship, and tell the old, old story again! Pray this week for a renewed and revitalized heart for evangelism in your life, your congregation’s life, and in the CBC! Please pray for the following congregations and pastors: Sunnyside Congregation in New Creek, WV and Pastor Randy L. Shoemaker Tearcoat Congregation in Augusta, WV and pastor Thomas Rowan CBC Prayer Committee

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (NIV). Hearing the news about our world each day can often be disheartening. So much suffering. So much trouble. So much division. So many are fighting against our Lord and His Perfect Word! But do not be discouraged. Do not dismay. As we move towards the celebration of Jesus’ death and resurrection, let us be reminded of His ultimate victory! In his beautiful old hymn, Maltbie Babcock wrote, “This Is My Father’s World,” “This is my Father’s world. O let me ne’er forget, that though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet. This is my Father’s world: the battle is not done: Jesus who died shall be satisfied, and earth and heaven be one.” Amen! Celebrate Jesus’ victory! Today and always! Pray for those who suffer. Pray for assurance and certainty in Christ! “We are fools on account of Christ, but you are prudent in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are without honor!” 1 Corinthians 4:10 (NASB). Tuesday this week is “April Fool’s Day.” Maybe someone will catch you in a surprise! But let’s remember that while explicitly following Christ and His unchanging Word may look foolish to many in the world … truly it is the path of wisdom, blessing & eternity! Jim Elliot, the martyred missionary to Ecuador in 1956, famously said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." Pray for strength to live completely for Christ each day! Please pray for the following congregations and pastors: St. Luke Congregation in Woodstock, VA seeking Pastoral leadership Stone Bridge Congregation in Williamsport, MD and Pastor Harry Strite CBC Prayer Committee

Isaiah 55:10–11 NKJV. 10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Spring ushers in a time of new growth as flowers bloom, grass greens, and the air warms.
