In the seven weeks from August 29 through October 10 your CBC Prayer Committee is asking you to read Matthew 6:5–13 and to pray according to the model prayer which Jesus gave His disciples.

Week Six – PROTECTION – Read Matthew 6:9 – 13
Verse 13a – “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:”

  • Pray that the Holy Spirit guides in every decision and that our footsteps be ordered by the Word of God.
  • May we be spiritually discerning of how the devil would hinder us from doing the will of God.
  • As we pray, “put on the full armor of God” knowing that “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (I John 4:4).
