Through a class I am taking from the Lee Strobel Institute, the myopic view of his sin that Adam had was pointed out when God called to him in the garden after Adam sinned. Of all the sins Adam could have confessed, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life; Adam answered, “I was naked and ashamed and hid myself.” Adam could have seen so much more but he was focused on that immediate sin. God’s response was to cover his sin by the shedding of blood, which directed Adam to a prophetic covering to come.

Let us pray for the LGBTQIA+ community. Let us pray in the manner of our Lord for all those who are suffering in sin. Let us pray that our eyes will be open to see the sacrifice for our sins, not just focused on one single sin that is magnified in our eyes. Father, help us to love in the same manner as you have loved! Help us to cover our brothers and sisters and to apply your precious blood to our hearts.
