On September 26, 2026, the Covenant Brethren Church hosted their 2nd Annual Women’s Conference centered on the theme “Rejoice! Even when you don’t feel like it!” Sixty-two women from five states and Puerto Rico came together at Calvary Covenant Brethren Church in Winchester, VA for a day of prayer, worship, music, and fellowship. It was a wonderful day to reflect, to learn, and to be reminded of the joy and strength in our Lord that comes from rejoicing – even when you don’t feel like it!
The keynote speaker was Pastor Karen Grossnicklel who shared a message from Philippians 4:4-9. Worship music was provided throughout the day by Sister Bernie Tregoe. Classically trained vocalist Sister Jeanie Kent blessed the group with special music.
Four breakout sessions centered on the conference theme were offered. These included: The Bait of Satan, led by Pastor Karen Grossnickle, Prayer led by Sister Cathy Hessong, Made in the Image of God led by Sister Maria Jeter, and Rejoice! In Biblical Archeology led by Sister Diane Pence. Each session provided more opportunities to grow in the Word and to fellowship with beloved sisters in Christ.
No conference is complete without good food and this event was no different! Calvary CBC’s very own chef, Brother Wolf Pusch, and his talented helpers, prepared and served the ladies a light breakfast and a delicious lunch! Everyone was greatly and truly blessed throughout the day! To God goes all the glory!
