Today we were alerted that Samaritan’s Purse is looking for volunteers to assist homeowners affected by recent tornadoes in Clarksville, TN and North Nashville, TN. Samaritan’s Purse is ministering in the aftermath of tornadoes that swept across Middle Tennessee on Saturday, December 9, 2023, causing extensive property damage, dozens of injuries, and at least six deaths. Volunteers will assist homeowners affected by tornadoes and will help in Jesus’ name with roof tarping, debris cleanup, and chainsaw work.

Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to the sites. Meals and sleeping quarters are provided for overnight volunteers. Volunteers need to bring twin size air mattress or cots, linens/sleeping bag, pillow, towels and personal hygiene items. Tools will be provided, and volunteers are welcome to bring their own tool belts and small hand tools. Volunteers should dress in long pants and sturdy boots. Both teams and individuals are welcome.

If you are local to the Clarksville area you are welcome to serve for the day. Please contact their site at 931-221-9925 at least 24 hours in advance.
