January 6th is a special celebration in our Hispanic culture as well as in our congregation. It’s a day when our children get gifts but also an occasion where the Gospel of Jesus is presented and revealed in a very unique way. Our Monte Sión Covenant Brethren Church has made the celebration of the “Three Wise Men” a tradition for both the church and the community to commemorate this special day by inviting children and their parents to come worship in our “Children’s Service”.
The presence of God through His Holy Spirit was felt throughout the children’s worship service and everyone that came and participated were immensely touched and blessed.
Gifts and candies were given to every child that attended, and food was served for everyone to enjoy. Our special event reflected what the Holy Scriptures say concerning children in Luke 18:16(NIV) where Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
