The CBC Executive Board met in person in Fairmont, WV, at denominational offices October 24-25, and processed many business items. The highlight of the meetings was special times of prayer and worship led by various Board members. The Board revisited the CBC Statement of Faith, Bylaws, and the Executive Board Code of Ethics as reminders of who we are and what we believe.

Board members approved the minutes, received the treasurer’s report, and elected officers as follows: Board Chair: Bro. Grover Duling, Vice Chair: Bro. Scott Kinnick, and Secretary: Bro. George Bowers. Bro. Scott was also appointed as CBC International Liaison. Discussion was held regarding the persecution of Christians in Nigeria, and the Board approved an article that has already gone out.

The Board approved four new CBC congregations, including Drayton Plains in Michigan and three in Panama, bringing total CBC congregations to 215. The Board also conferred ordination on 2 individuals and emeritus status on another. Board members reviewed and updated the CBC Committees and heard a progress report on the CBC Polity Manual. Bro. Grover also provided his report on different items before adjournment on Friday night, after 9:30 pm.

Saturday’s agenda included more worship, devotion, and prayer, followed by a joint meeting with representatives of the Regions’ Covenant Circle. Bro. Mark Jones reported that the Ministry Training Plan is progressing with Old Testament I and II courses soon ready to be distributed and utilized.

Bro. Roy McVey reported on plans for the 2026 Annual Meeting and Worship Conference, and the Executive Board approved the Pasquerilla Conference Center in Johnstown, PA, as the venue for July 16-18, 2026, with accommodations at the Holiday Inn Downtown. The Board also heard recommendations for 2027 and 2028, but did not take action on these. Bro. George Bowers shared a report from the Prayer Committee, and Bro. Craig Howard updated the Board on the Public Relations, Publications, News Articles Committee as well as the Adult and Youth Fellowship Committee.

After lunch, the Board approved gifts to purchase Bibles and bring pastors together in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as for work in Burundi, Panama, and Spain. Bros Scott and Grover will be leaving in late November to minister in Barcelona, Spain.

Updates from the various regions were shared, as well as reports from the Legal, Polity, and Policy Committee and the Stewards and Financial Planning Committee. Bro. Matt Bernard shared updates on CBC Technology and the website, and Bro. Scott reported on the CBC in each of the countries outside the US. Believers from additional countries continue to contact CBC enquiring about affiliation with CBC.

After setting the date for the November meeting, Bro. Craig Alan Myers shared observations regarding the growth of, and God’s blessings on CBC, before closing in prayer, after which the Board adjourned at 4:00 pm by singing To God Be The Glory.

The Executive Board is very grateful for the continual prayers of individuals and congregations and seeks to be obedient to whatever and wherever the Spirit leads.
