Your CBC Executive Board met via Zoom on November 20 and processed several items of business. After the opening prayer by Bro. Jim Nolt, the highlight of the evening was the addition of a new country to the CBC family! The Board welcomed the La Casa de mi Padre Iglesia Cristiano Biblica (My Father’s House Christian Bible Church) congregation in Cucuta, Colombia! Another Venezuelan congregation was also added, bringing to 217 the total number of CBC congregations in 13 countries worldwide! Two ministers were also credentialed for a total of 222. God continues to build His Covenant Brethren Church!

Another extremely important and timely item of business was the adoption of a CBC policy regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence. The approved statement reads as follows:

The Executive Board prohibits the use of Artificial Intelligence as the source of origin for any CBC publications, teachings, seminars, and sermons. All such publications and teachings are to be guided by the Holy Spirit to the author, minister, or teacher and not from a preprogrammed algorithm.

Bro. Scott Kinnick updated the Board on the status of international CBC congregations and shared that enquiries continue to come from congregations in many different countries. Brothers Scott and Grover will be leaving the day after Thanksgiving for a preaching mission to congregations in Spain and to meet with interested congregations there. Please pray for their safety and for God’s blessing on this trip.

The Board received updates on the 2026 Annual Meeting and Worship Conference that will be held July 16-18 in Johnstown, PA, at the Pasquerilla Conference Center. “One Family” will again lead worship music, and the conference theme was approved and will be announced later. In addition, the Board discussed possibilities for preachers as well as possible venues for the 2027 AMWC.

The Board appropriated funds for a Panamanian project of the Church Planting Committee and also approved an addition to the Pastoral Ethics document. The Board heard updates from other committees, approved the Secretary’s minutes and the Treasurer’s report, and learned of congregational visits of various Board members.

After over two hours of business and discussion, Bro. Craig Alan Myers closed the meeting in prayer at 10:45 pm, inviting God’s continued protection and blessings on CBC. Praise God for all that He is doing in CBC and continue to pray for His guidance and favor as we seek to serve Him!
