The CBC Prayer Committee is encouraging everyone to pray for the people of Florida in advance of Hurricane Ian.
The storm is expected to make landfall Wednesday afternoon, and forecasters are anticipating that is will be at least a Category Three storm when it arrives over land. The eye is likely to pass directly over or very near to Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville as it makes its way up the east coast. Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia will also feel its effects though perhaps not as severely.
The evacuations in Florida have already affected approximately 2.5 million people.
Please pray for safety as people evacuate, for safety and the preservation of life for those who cannot or do not evacuate, and for the Lord to have mercy on all those who will experience this storm.
