Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

As we enjoy the warmth and vibrancy of summer, it’s a perfect reminder of how God works in our lives. Just as summer brings lush greenery and blooming flowers, our lives can flourish when we stay rooted in faith and purpose. During this season, many of us are reflecting on the past school year and looking forward to exciting adventures ahead. Whether it’s a summer job, a family trip, or simply relaxing with friends, this time offers opportunities for growth and renewal.

In Galatians 6:9, we are reminded not to grow weary in doing good. It’s easy to become disheartened when we don’t see immediate results from our efforts. We may feel like our hard work goes unnoticed or that the changes we hope for seem distant. However, just like a seed planted in the ground, growth takes time and care. We must trust that God is working behind the scenes, even when we can’t see the fruit of our labor.

This summer, consider the ways you can plant seeds of hope and kindness in your community. Perhaps you can volunteer at a local charity, help a neighbor, or simply share a smile with someone who seems down. Each small act of goodness contributes to a larger harvest of love and joy.

Let’s also take time to cultivate our own spiritual gardens. Spend time in prayer, read Scripture, and seek to grow closer to God. Just as plants need sunlight and water, we need spiritual nourishment to thrive. Surround yourself with uplifting friends and mentors who encourage you to keep growing in your faith.

As you embrace the joys of summer, remember that every season has its purpose. The warmth of the sun reminds us that God’s love is always present, nurturing us even in the challenges we face. Stay faithful, keep planting those seeds, and trust that in due time, you will see the beautiful harvest God has promised.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the gift of this season and for the opportunities it brings. Help us to remain steadfast in doing good, even when we don’t see the results right away. May we trust in Your timing and continue to plant seeds of hope and love in our lives and the lives of others. Strengthen our hearts and encourage us to grow in faith. Amen.
