Joshua 1:9 (NIV) – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Things are changing all around you. New classes start, schedules shift, and days feel different as routines fall into place. Change can be exciting, but it can also be uncomfortable. It is easy to feel unsure about what comes next or worried about fitting in. The good news is that God does not change when everything else does. The same steady God who promises to be with his people then is with you now.

When Joshua was about to step into big changes and new responsibilities, God told him to be strong and courageous and reminded him that He would be with him wherever he went. That promise was not only for Joshua; it is for anyone who follows God. Courage does not always look like bold words or big plans. Often courage looks like quiet trust—showing up, taking the next right step, and leaning on God when fear tries to take over.

Think of life like a path through changing trees. Leaves may turn and wind may blow, but roots grow deeper underground to keep the tree standing. In the same way, the habits you build now—reading Scripture, talking to God, and choosing kindness—help your roots grow deep. Those roots keep you steady when the wind of change comes.

Practical steps help faith become real. Start small: pick a short verse to memorize, pray for one person you will see today, or choose one brave act of kindness. When worries come, repeat Joshua 1:9 quietly and remember that God’s presence goes with you into every classroom, team, and new situation.

You do not have to face change alone. Friends, leaders, and the church community are part of the support God provides. Share your fears, ask for prayer, and celebrate small victories together. Courage is learned day by day. As you take steady steps with God, you will discover that his presence makes new seasons a place of growth, hope, and unexpected joy.

Prayer: Lord, thank you that you are with me in every change. Help me to take steady steps of faith today. Give me courage when I am afraid, wisdom when I must decide, and a heart that trusts you more each day. Amen.
