Brothers and Sisters of the Covenant Brethren Church,

I pray that each of you is doing well and experiencing the abundant grace and mercy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With our Annual Meeting and Worship Conference quickly approaching, I would like to share a few important reminders:

1. Pray, Pray, Pray!
Most importantly, please join us in praying that everything we do during the Annual Meeting and Worship Conference will be in accordance with God’s will and pleasing in His sight. Pray for our speakers, worship leaders, delegates, volunteers, and all who will attend.

2. Conference Registration Deadline – July 3, 2026
If you would like your name badge prepared prior to your arrival in Johnstown, please register for the conference by July 3, 2026. Registration will still be available upon arrival; however, meal tickets will NOT be available at the door.

The meals included in the conference meal plan are being prepared off-site, making advance planning necessary. If you choose not to participate in the meal plan, there are several restaurants located nearby where you may dine during the conference.

3. New This Year – Children’s Ministry Opportunity
We are excited to announce that Pastor Mark Murchie and the Scalp Level Covenant Brethren Church will be providing a Mini Vacation Bible School for school children through the 6th grade during the conference. We are grateful for their willingness to serve our families in this special way.

4. Community Blessing Project
As in previous years, the Covenant Brethren Church will once again seek to bless the local community during our Annual Meeting and Worship Conference.

To support this effort, we are asking everyone attending the conference to bring canned food items or other non-perishable dry goods. These donations will be collected and delivered to the Johnstown Family Soup Kitchen, which provides meals for the public and food assistance to those in need throughout the Johnstown area.

Please prayerfully consider bringing a donation of food items. Collection tables will be located at the front of the main hall in the Pasquerilla Event Center throughout the conference.

Thank you for helping us share Christ’s love in a practical way and for partnering with us to serve our neighbors in need.

5. Executive Board Nominees
Please take time before the conference to review the biographies of the five nominees for the Executive Board, which are available on the CBC website. It is important that delegates become familiar with these individuals and their qualifications before voting.

Most importantly, pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as delegates discern God’s direction in selecting these leaders who will help guide the future ministry of the Covenant Brethren Church.

Thank you for your prayers and participation. We look forward to gathering together in Johnstown as we worship, fellowship, and seek God’s direction for the days ahead.

6. Reminder, As in previous years, we will be receiving two evening offerings during our Annual Meeting and Worship Conference.

The Thursday evening offering will once again be our Celebration Offering, giving thanks to God for His many blessings and faithfulness to the Covenant Brethren Church.

For this year, your Executive Board has designated the Friday evening offering to go 100% toward Disaster Relief, Missions, and Outreach Ministries (Matthew 25). These funds will help support Kingdom-building efforts both at home and abroad. Projects currently being considered include assisting with the construction of churches in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. In addition, many of our international congregations are in need of Bibles, and churches in war-torn regions of Africa continue to face urgent needs for food, clothing, and shelter.

Your generous support of this offering will provide a much-needed boost to these vital ministries and help us continue sharing the love of Christ with those in need around the world.

In Christ’s Service, Grover

Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
