Weekly Prayer Point

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving’ let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6). Heavenly Father, as we come to you this day remind us of Your omnipotence, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your care. In this world that too often seems disjointed, searching and confused; may we be reminded that you are a God of order and purpose! That with the passing of every moment You are accomplishing Your holy and righteous will. We humbly ask that in this world of much conflict that the “peace of Christ” will not only comfort but also be a precious possession of our hearts. Heavenly Father, you are the one that meets every need of life and we thank You for Your goodness and favor in Jesus name. Amen. “Those who wait on The Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” - Galatians 6:9 Heavenly Father and Faithful God, thank You for Your ever-flowing power source that fills us and sustains us. Refresh us daily so we will “not become weary in doing good.” Bless us with Your grace and peace while we wait on You for “things” we are praying for and believing You for. “I am the way and the truth and the life. “I am the vine; you are the branches.  If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 Heavenly Father, we thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to the world, not only to be our Savior but “The Vine” that supplies everything we need to accomplish Your perfect plan and purpose.  We pray for You to help us be faithful in staying connected to and nourished by “The Vine” so we can bear much fruit for Your kingdom.   Help us to sow the seeds that produce the everlasting fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control. Jesus declared “I am the bread of life whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty” John 6:35 Heavenly Father, help us to hunger for Jesus Christ who is the bread of life, and the only one who can satisfy our hunger and quench our thirst. As we feast on Your Word, open our eyes to Your truth, nourish our hearts and souls with Your Holy Spirit, and give us understanding, wisdom and discernment as we seek to obey Your will. 2 Corinthians 7:9-10 Yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. Father, just as You intended, let repentance fall on Covenant Brethren Church and let that repentance lead to our salvation and salvation to all who see! Revelation 2:6 – “Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.” Lord, cause us to hate the works of the Nicolaitans! Let there be no mixture in our lives! In this day there is so much confusion about who You are. The world has made a graven image, formed from what is convenient to think about You. Father, You are the only true God! 1 John 2:6 – “He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.” Holy God, Living Word, open our eyes to see that we are desperate for your Word. If we say we are Yours and are walking with You, cause us to hunger and thirst for You, the Word incarnate. Stir in our hearts a desire to feast on your Word, not merely consume it. Let us run to You in complete abandon and cling desperately to every Rhema Word that proceeds from Your mouth. Psalm 133:1-3 – “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
