Heavenly Father, we praise You for Your love and grace that unites us as "we are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with (Your) people and also members of (Your) household." Ephesians 2:19(NIV).Thank You for all the churches who have and will join the ranks of The Covenant Brethren Church. We pray for the "Sister to Sister" prayer initiative to grow and flourish in Jesus' name. We are grateful for the churches and individuals who have committed to pray for sister churches, and we ask You to establish, bless, and nurture these friendships. Raise up additional churches to join in this prayer ministry and remove obstacles or barriers that would prevent sister churches from communicating with and/or praying for one another. We pray for each CBC church to stay close to You, to stand on Your Word, never compromise truth, and spread the Gospel around the world. Please pray for the following congregations and pastors:Farmington Bethel Congregation in Farmington, PA and Pastor Steven DavisFriente Inagotieble Congregation in Venezuela and Pastor Richard Jose RebanalesCBC Prayer Committee

In these times in which we live, let us rejoice in the goodness, wisdom, and purposes of God, who is eternal and not bound by time, having placed us into time right where we belong --- "for such as a time as this"! Let us PRAISE God for the gift of the Holy Spirit as we bear witness to Christ’s Lordship. We rejoice in the opportunity of today to be Your witness. Father, remind us that you are a God of order and purpose! That with the passing of every moment, You are accomplishing Your holy and righteous will. As the Fall-of-the-Year marches on, the flower vanishes, and the green grass is now a dull brown. Such imagery puts a very bright light on how quickly things change. Need we be reminded that God's Word is eternal? Let us read it daily; don't just quote Scripture, live it. A Bible that gathers dust is worthless; a Bible that is read, PRICELESS!! "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV). Weekly Prayer Point – 10/13/2025

October 13th, 2025|Weekly Prayer Point|

The fall of the year is a time of anticipated harvest. Fields of golden grain await the harvest. As many CBC congregations find themselves in a time of Revival and Evangelistic services, let us be faithful in sowing the seed of the Gospel of Christ and be active in the harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God! Now is the time of harvest. "Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest'!" (John 4:35 (NKJV). May we be faithful to the command of our Jesus to "GO" into this dark, desperate, and sinful world with the light, hope, and life of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the power of the Holy Spirit, may we be faithful in our witness and proclamation of Christ the Lord. Please pray for the following congregations and pastors: Cristo El Senor Congregation in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico and Pastor Jose Calleja Otero Curryville Congregation in Curryville, PA and Pastor Chris Heinlein CBC Prayer Committee

October 6th, 2025|Weekly Prayer Point|

As we behold the change the fall of the year always brings, and as we behold the beauty of God’s canvas of color, it takes our breath and our eyes open wide. May our lips proclaim the Greatness of our God. Let us rejoice in "the Beauty of His Holiness". … the Lord made the heavens. 27 Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place. 28 Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, give to the Lord glory and strength. 29 Give to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Chronicles 16:26-29 (NKJV). Heavenly Father, as we behold Your glory and the beauty of Your creation, we give You thanks for the beauty of Your presence in our earthen vessel. Thank you, Lord, for the beauty of the "New Creation" we are through Jesus Christ our Lord! … We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. “Ever since I heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have never stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the Glorious Father, of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.”” I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope He has given those He called… His holy people who are His rich and glorious inheritance. “I pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at the right hand in the heavenly realms. Now He is far above any ruler, or authority, or power, or leader or anything else! Not only in this world but also the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is His body; it is made full [...]

Philippians 1:3-7, 9-11 (NLT) "Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. I always pray for you, and I make my requests with a heart full of joy because you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again." "It is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a very special place in my heart. We have shared together the blessings of God…" "I pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in your knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until Christ returns.
